One of the differences in the new approach to providing food to the Armed Forces is the redistribution of roles within the supply system.
Previously, military units directly communicated with suppliers regarding orders, but now DOT will take on this function.
How will the interaction process be structured?
1) Orders are formed by military units monthly and clarified a week before delivery.
2) Orders are sent to DOT through an automated IT system.
3) DOT aggregates the orders, determines the lists and volumes for supply by region.
4) DOT distributes the orders among suppliers.
This approach will allow for the accumulation of objective data on order volumes across military units, increase transparency and accountability in the process, and minimize potential corruption risks.
