Military personnel can now use a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) on primary documents. This will allow them to sign delivery notes, acts, and complaints in the electronic system without duplicating them on paper.
This was one of the key steps in launching DOT-Chain, an innovative IT system developed by the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition to manage the logistical support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“These changes were critically necessary. Without them, the use of any digital systems only created additional paperwork for the military personnel responsible for ordering supplies for their units. On one hand, they had digital tools to speed up the process. On the other hand, they could not sign documents within the electronic system. As a result, despite digitalizing processes, the military had to work twice as much,” commented Alona Zhuzha, IT Advisor at the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition.
Now, when ordering supplies through the electronic system, military personnel no longer need to print and sign documents in paper form.
