State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT) has contracted a Ukrainian manufacturer to supply personal heating products (chemical hot water bottles) to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Previously, only Chinese-made hot water bottles were purchased, which, in particular, were twice as expensive.
This is due to the increased timeframe for planning deliveries, which allowed Ukrainian producers to plan their production capacity accordingly and participate in tenders.
As a result, one chemical hot water bottle is now 51.4% cheaper for the state, and the total savings on this procurement amounted to about UAH 12.5 million.
"We are focused on getting as many Ukrainian producers as possible to become suppliers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For this purpose, we have introduced longer-term supply planning. We realize that companies need more time to plan and build their capacities. As a result, we support not only the economy of our country, but also save money, which is then used to cover additional needs of the military," said Viktoriia Vinohradova, Director of Procurement Management at the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition.
We remind you that earlier, the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition began purchasing additional ammunition for the military with the saved funds.
