For the first time, the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition is launching a centralized supply of adaptive clothing and personal care kits for wounded soldiers - the so-called “wounded package.” The first tenders for the purchase of adaptive clothing have already been announced, with the total amount of about UAH 170 million.
Deliveries are scheduled partly for the third quarter of 2025, and also for the 4th quarter of 2025 - to four joint supply centers. All the Defence Forces, including units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and other formations, will receive adaptive clothing.
"In the first hours after being wounded, the military often cannot get help from their relatives or get the most necessary things. “The Wounded Warrior Package is designed to solve this problem - the state takes care of basic things so that the wounded feel human treatment and protection from the very first moment of arrival at a medical facility,” explains Victoria Vinogradova, director of the DOT clothing program.
The summer clothing set includes adaptive T-shirts and shorts, short and long sleeved shirts, pants and socks. The hygiene kit takes into account the individual needs of both women and men. In particular, it includes a towel, razor, shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, wet and dry wipes, comb, hair brush, paper products, pads, etc.
Clothing will be provided individually, taking into account the needs of the wounded. Every Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier who arrives at a stabilization center or hospital with an injury will receive a hygiene kit.
A separate procurement of hygiene kits will be announced after the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine approves the technical requirements, regulates the principles of circulation between structural units by interagency order and finalizes the list and volume of purchases.
