DOT to procure additional gear for the AFU thanks to saved 2.2 billion UAH

Thanks to competition in the procurement of supplies, the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition saved 2.2 billion UAH. These funds will be directed towards purchasing individual protective equipment for the military.

Procurement of additional body armor for the Armed Forces of Ukraine has already begun. Additionally, there are plans to acquire:

  • Helmets
  • Tactical headphones

"The point of procuring at lower prices is not just to state, 'DOT saved a million or a billion hryvnias.' For us, it’s crucial to use all the saved funds effectively. They must serve the AFU. Every hryvnia, every million, and billion. That’s why, in cooperation with the Ministry, we identify the urgent needs of the military and direct the saved budget funds towards them," said Victoria Vynogradova, Director of Procurement Management at the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition.
