Effective procurement strategy resulted in substantial savings in purchase of combat ballistic helmets with both high-cut and full-cut designs.
Specifically, high-cut helmets were purchased at the price of 7,500 UAH per unit, 1,999 UAH (21.05%) cheaper than prices before DOT. Full-face helmets were also purchased for 7,500 UAH per unit, which is 800 UAH (9,64%) cheaper than previous contracts. All helmets meet the technical specifications of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
Contracts for the helmets, signed in the first half of 2024, are 90% executed.
The tender for the helmet supply was won by two Ukrainian manufacturers with production facilities in Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the savings generated by the DOT allowed to allocated savings to cover additional needs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
