DOT representatives visited the production facilities of 3M Peltor in Värnamo, Sweden, where they explored the capabilities of tactical headsets and learned about their use across NATO member states. The visit also included discussions on future cooperation to equip Ukrainian soldiers with modern personal protection gear.
During the visit, 3M Peltor specialists showcased the functionality of various tactical headset models, highlighting their competitive advantages and compliance with NATO standards. The Ukrainian delegation toured the manufacturing site, gaining insight into the production process, quality control systems, and adherence to international standards.
A key point of interest was the operational experience of other armed forces. Company representatives shared information about the models most commonly procured by different military branches depending on mission type, as well as their performance in combat conditions.
Given 3M Peltor’s experience working with NATO countries, its technological capabilities, and production standards, DOT is focused on adopting practical expertise and studying the technical features of the equipment.
As a reminder, DOT recently procured 40,000 tactical headsets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These meet NATO standards, offering noise protection of 29 decibels or higher and are designed for use in various weather conditions.
