Army+ launches survey on satisfaction with logistics support

Today, a new survey has been launched in Army+. The Ministry of Defence, the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition and the Accounting Chamber want to find out the current level of satisfaction with military supplies, as well as the widespread practice of purchasing equipment on their own.

"Receiving everything you need for service and on time is one of the important components of an effective army. Through this survey, the government wants to find out what can be improved and what issues need to be addressed. User responses will help to formulate recommendations that will improve the supply and combat capabilities of the units," said Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for Digitalisation.

The survey will cover several key areas of logistical support: the quality of food, equipment, fuel and lubricants, and the timeliness of their delivery. In addition, the survey will provide an opportunity to understand the attitude of servicemen to the introduction of compensation for self-purchased equipment.

Mykyta Chichkan, Director of the DOT clothing programme, said: "The DOT seeks to combine the real experience of our military with the best international reimbursement practices that have already been successfully implemented in other countries. Our goal is to create a transparent and predictable reimbursement system that will be effective in war conditions and adapted to the needs of those on the front line. It is not only a reimbursement mechanism, but also a tool of trust, planning and responsibility."

The survey will last for two weeks - from 17 to 30 July - and consists of 31 questions. It will take 15 minutes to complete and will help improve the work of the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition and fill possible gaps in the logistics support of the Defence Forces.

"We want to provide an informed assessment when conducting an audit of logistics procurement. This survey will help us to identify issues and risks that require attention during the audit," added Hennadii Plis, member of the Accounting Chamber.

A total of 18 surveys have been launched since the beginning of the Army+ project. On average, about 20,000 users respond to the questions raised in the app. Among the latest changes that have taken place as a result of the surveys are the launch of a multi-signature function for commanders, a change in the strategy of providing dry rations in the army, and the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy receiving a new head.
