The Armiia+ app has launched a survey to gauge the satisfaction levels of military personnel with their ration packs, specifically daily field rations No. 15 (regular and enhanced versions with heaters).
The purpose of the survey, initiated by the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition, is to gather feedback from the military and assess the demand for inclusive rations.
The survey began today, September 21, and will run for 14 days.
"Today, 250,000 military personnel have already logged into Armiia+. Every day, around 10,000 more register in the app. The survey function in Armiia+ is the first time in Ukraine's history that allows military personnel to express their opinions and actively influence changes in the army. This is a historic step, and I am grateful to the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition team for their initiative and desire to incorporate military feedback collected through Armiia+ surveys into their work," said Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digitalization.
Based on the survey results, decisions will be made regarding the procurement of certain types of rations, factoring this feedback into future procurement strategies.
Plans are already in place to expand the range of available rations by introducing plant-based, kosher, and halal options. The DOT is currently working on developing updated rations that meet the religious, medical, and ethical needs of Ukraine's Armed Forces.
"Expanding the range of rations is a significant step in improving the provision for our military personnel. By offering food that considers religious, medical, and ethical needs, we are creating necessary conditions that will contribute to the physical and moral well-being of all those defending Ukraine," said Dmytro Klimenkov, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
It’s worth noting that prior to this, the DOT and the Ministry of Defence held discussions with representatives from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), Islamic and Jewish religious organizations, the NGOs "Kozhna tvaryna" and UAnimals, as well as industry representatives.
