DOT to purchase fuel vouchers for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the first time

Thanks to cost savings from previous procurements, the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition will purchase fuel vouchers that will be available at gas station networks for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

For the military, this means convenience and the ability to refuel outside their unit, anywhere across Ukraine.

The requirements for the gas station networks include having at least 15 stations within Kyiv and at least one station in every region of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions.

"Thanks to the effective work of our team and our regional strategy of splitting lots for light petroleum products, we managed to achieve significant budget savings throughout 2024 while ensuring the proper quality of petroleum products. These savings, in turn, are being directed towards additional needs for fuel and lubricants for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including unique items coded under NATO standards. Every hryvnia saved on procurement is an opportunity to meet more of the army’s needs, which is crucial in the context of a full-scale invasion," said Maryna Yeremieieva, Project Portfolio Manager at the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition.

We would like to remind you that recently, to identify trends in fuel prices, the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition began using data from Argus Media, an international independent price reporting agency that covers global commodity and energy markets.
