"Planned procurement of clothing is one of the key tasks in ensuring the AFU is well-equipped. Long-term contracts provide suppliers with the assurance needed to fully utilize their production capacity, while the state benefits from timely deliveries. This approach also attracts new suppliers, as manufacturers can plan ahead to secure the raw materials needed for producing winter clothing. Mitigating the risks of delayed deliveries is a top priority for DOT," noted Viktoriia Vynohradova, Portfolio Director at DOT.

"Providing our military with high-quality winter clothing and footwear in advance is crucial for their safety and operational effectiveness. We understand the importance of systematic planning, which is why the Ministry of Defence's procurement agency, DOT, has already begun supplying winter gear. This will ensure our servicemen and women are comfortable and ready to perform their duties effectively in cold weather," said Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.

It is also worth noting that the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition regularly inspects suppliers of clothing to ensure timely fulfilment of state contracts.
